In April 2023, the EPA announced a proposal to revise emissions standards for light-duty and medium-duty vehicles sold in the U.S. with model years 2027 and later. Emissions standards on new motor vehicles are revised periodically to reflect improved motor vehicle technologies, gasoline and diesel fuel quality, and consumer demands. Comments on this proposed rule are due to EPA by July 5, 2023 using the Federal Rulemaking Portal or by email to a-r-Docket@epa.gov. The Docket ID is: EPA-HQ-OAR-2022-0829.
